About the Author

Lin Poyer, professor emeritus at the University of Wyoming, is a cultural anthropologist who has written about Micronesian lives during and after the Second World War. With Suzanne Falgout and Laurence M. Carucci, she is coauthor of The Typhoon of War: Micronesian Experiences of the Pacific War and Memories of War: Micronesians in the Pacific War (both from University of Hawai‘i Press).
